VisiPics

There’s no point in keeping duplicate images on your computer. The simple truth of the matter is that such duplicates needlessly take up disk space. With the free VisiPics tool you can scan your PC, find duplicate images, and then remove them. In just three easy steps (see below) you will find and remove duplicate images that clutter your PC.

The system requirements for running VisiPics are: 2GHZ processor, at least 128MB of RAM (1GB or more recommended), 32-bit Windows edition (any edition from Windows 2000 onward).
A setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. Thanks to this wizard you will quickly get VisiPics up and running on your PC.

VisiPics’ interface is divided into three main panels. The one in the upper right hand side allows you to choose the folder that will be scanned, initiate the scan, and choose what happens with the duplicates. The one to the left displays all the duplicates uncovered by the scan. Place the mouse cursor on top of a duplicate and a preview will be displayed by the panel down at the bottom of the interface.

As mentioned above, using VisiPics is a simple three step process:
Step 1 – select the folder or folders that will be scanned.
Step 2 – initiate the scan and wait for it to complete. Please note that before running the scan, you can play with a few settings: adjust the filter that determines how strictly the program checks for similarities, set the size of the pictures that will be loaded, pick what pictures will be selected first, scan for 90 degree rotations.
Step 3 – browse through the list of duplicates and choose what happens to them. You can move duplicates, remove duplicates, or set a duplicate to be ignored.
